Getting a bye before district play or playoffs is always important to give any ailments time to heal.

Not to highjack this thread but I seem to remember way ....waaaaaayyyyyy back in my high school days that a bye week was probably one of the harder workout weeks as the Coaches used it for more intense hitting drills and running. Don't really remember anyone on the team getting a chance to actually heal up! LOL.
