Good old NyQuil works for me! Make sure you get the one that says 10% alcohol on the bottle.

Sleep Apnea - read up on this - go see a specialist doctor. Knew someone that got the mask to wear at night and said it really help but wearing it was a pain. They now use a different kind of thing that's not a full mask. Have a cousin that uses it and won't go anywhere without it (when away from home).

I am lucky because I work from home and can do stuff like edit the shows late at night so I have learned that I just have to take the sleep cycle my body gives me..that means sometimes I wake up at 3AM then go to sleep at 1PM wake up about 4 then sleep from 11PM-3AM

I’ve been working shift work for 40 yrs and know how sleep patterns can get off track.
My best advice is to force yourself to stay up till about 9-10 pm, drink enough adult beverages to make you very groggy. You will immediately go to sleep then have alarm set for about 7am the next morning. This usually resets my internal clock enough to get back on track. Sometimes it takes a couple days but it’s always worked for me.

I tried counting sheep once.....but the thought of wool just made my balls itch like crazy!....which resulted in my wife complaining that she couldn't sleep cause of all the raspy scratchin' noises.....

Sorry to hear scoop...I too struggle to sleep...too much stress in the life I guess..they say reading before bed helps...drink a small glass of milk before bed...that helps me some..but I have to drink lactose free milk cause if I don't I'll be on the crapper at 2am!!!....what also helps me is some relaxing music...Pachebel Canon is probably my favorite piece of relaxation music...Check it out..
I was diagnosed with mild sleep apnea...got the CPAP mask but don't tolerate it well..I yank it off at nights sometimes
So, i still need a solution for that..
Why is it we sleep so well when we're young but can't when we age?
.....this is all Greendawgs fault!

What I would give for at least 4 hours of sleep. It's been that long since I've had that much. This really sucks

Be aware that stress, allergies, GERD, sleep apnea and/or a snoring partner can cause this.

Otherwise....1. no caffeine 5 to 6 hours prior to bed, 2. limited fluids prior to bed (bathroom), 3. eat a small meal prior to bedtime, 4. use white noise like a fan 5. attention to your bedroom temp 6. Do not take naps during the day. 7. clean the entire room, sheets, pillow, pillowcase, blinds. Dust free. 8. Do not take Ambien (Zolpidem)

Good luck

Maybe do some physical exercise to wear to wear yourself out prior? I don’t know... that may just make the problem worse if you still can’t sleep.

....go to a quidditch match....that'll get you bored and sleepy.....another option if it's available to you would be some hard-core-feet-up-against-the-wall-bed-spring-bustin'-dog-flyin'-off-the-bed-love makin' with your honey! ...I can go strong for about 1 minute & 52 seconds then I need 8 hours sleep!!.......just sayin'.....:spitlol:
