Gonzales vs. Mineral Wells

Apaches and Rams get together Thursday night at Waco ISD stadium. Apaches are 2-3 with losses to Navarro, Yoakum and Cuero and victories over Austin Crockett and Hondo. Rams come into the contest with a 4-0 record and probably will be favored by at least a touchdown. This is the first meeting between the two schools.

Go Rams!!!! Rams with wins over Carralton Ranchview. Powerhouse Graham, Sanger and Iowa Park...No losses

Rams have a good running back that the Apaches will have to stop to win the game. Teams that have defeated Gonzales, Cuero and Navarro, both are in the top 10 in 4A division 2. Third loss was to 3A Yoakum who went to the state semis last year. Wins were over Class 5A Austin Crockett and 4A Hondo.

Apparently not, Jason. It will be a long drive for both teams, but it is better than having a second open date.

I helped set this game up a couple of weeks after realignment...both teams kinda were the last ones standing after realignment in smaller districts...heck I set up Longview Spring Hill and Silsbee also...same deal

Apaches will have an open week next week. Don't think they would want two open dates before beginning district play. That would be a whole lot like starting over.

I can't remember but I think Stephenville wanted to be off this week because they didnt want to play ten straight weeks due to the Week 11 bye
