After Burnet getting smoked 8 TDs to 1 in last weeks Scrimmage vs Brownwood, I think the Texans build some confidence this week with the W.

As I have stated before I'm not a big fan of gauging a team by scrimmages. Would not be surprised if the Texans struggle in this matchup.

I'm good Tejas..been real busy at work. And enjoying my boys senior year of high school. Haven't really kept up much with the Dawgs...have no idea how they will do. Very young. I hear they have lots of good freshman kids. Don't know how that translates to the football field. I may be wrong, but it appears the last couple of years Burnet has had a lot of boys who don't want to play football. I know my boy decided he wouldn't play for certain individuals. Didn't care for their little mind games, etc. They even questioned his mental toughness after he told them he didn't want to play......So, he took his lack of mental toughness with him...stayed up past midnight every night studying, got up at 4:30am to study some more and go to tutoring, and graduated valedictorian with a 4.452 GPA.....so much for his mental toughness!.....:spitlol:......btw, he's always claimed he's not the smartest kid in school...he just out works everyone....

Hope Burnet can put up a fight Friday...this town has a lot of proud boys...........haven't decided if I'm going....gotta get up early Saturday to head to College Station...Good luck to Wimperley....uhhh...Wimberley this season!

Wimberley got a 15-yard TD pass with 5 seconds left to break a 25-tie and win 32-25.

Both teams should be spending all week practicing extra points.

was an exciting good game .....both teams played hard.....Wimberley lost 2 fumbles and 2 interceptions.....Burnet had 1 - 70 yd TD run and 1 - 70 yd TD pass called back......Burnet had 1st and goal at 5 late in game - Wimberley held. Wimberley score with 5 sec left in game for win.

It was just a gut feeling. lol...Wow, Burnet put the scrimmage last week waaaay behind them. What a crazy game. Two young teams trying to find themselves. This kind of win can go a long way for Wimberley heading into next weeks game with Giddings. With that said, there is work to be done boys! Dawgs can hold their heads high as well and ride some of that momentum to Marble Falls. Best of luck the rest of the way!

For Burnet injuries to d- backs took it's toll for this game -- maybe the best d- back didn't play --- others in and out--- when right DB went down --- Wim started passing to that area. Both teams played hard -- 4th qt started having players for both teams with minor injures --- hope all can bounce back.
