Week 1 Sinton at La Vernia

La Vernia did good in their scrimmage against Wimberley 5-2 in scrimmage and 21-0 in live action from tweet i saw.

Sinton had couple of scrimmages against Kingsville and CC Carroll. Against Kingsville only couple of possessions in a short scrimmage and scored both times. Against CC Carroll td pass in the 3rd play and some moving of the sticks rest of the scrimmage but no other td. Live 1qtr against Carroll only score was Sinton getting a safety.

Sinton has some areas to work on and build on towards district but non district looking pretty rough this season. Sinton will be big underdogs in this one.

The worm has turned once again.....Bears should be solid. Always a tough game.

Last visit to Bear Country was back in 2014, Sinton went up early 14-0 and La Vernia came back with couple of scores. Sinton 14 La Vernia 13 at the half. Sinton was up early 3rd qtr 20-13 before Bears went on a roll. It was tied at 20 going into 4th qtr, final La Vernia 40 Sinton 20.

I think that was the year the game was stopped in 1st qtr due weather and everybody had to go to the gym for a bit.

Ready to see couple of players that have return to Sinton roster for their senior year, Qb Brett Brown and Wr/RB/DB Brandon Gonzales.

Bears have an above average team this year, I think Sinton may have trouble winning this game.

47-13. Total domination by Bears.

47-13. Total domination by Bears.yep on both sides only bright spot on defense for Sinton they came up with some stops in 3rd qtr. 3 4th and long plays for touchdowns by the Bears converted put the game out of reach. La Vernia pretty much went down the field through out the game and think Sinton only had 3 good drives the whole game. La Vernia kicker look good, nice weapon to have in a close matchup. good luck to the Bears this season.

Sinton qb his first start and hasn't played football since his freshman year will need the Oline to give him some time and should be okay. Wr/Db Brandon Gonzales didn't play not sure if he has been cleared to play for Sinton yet was in jersey and jeans. Victoria West coach finally approved the move back to Sinton a week ago.
