When was the last time a team from Region 1 matched up with a team from Region 4 in a Class 3A tittle game?? It hasn't happened often has it? Espcially in recent years..I think Aledo was in Region 1 when they played Cuero in 98 but I'm not positive on that one...

No, Aledo was region 2 in '98. SLC may have been region 1 in '93 when they beat Cuero, but the way 3a is, probably not. The next recent one I can find is the '83 game where Refugio beat Littlefield.

Aledo was in Region 2 in 98. If I remember right out of District 11.

In 1987 Cuero played McGregor in the Finals. McGregor was out of Region 1 District 7 that year.
In 1993 Southlake carroll played cuero.
Southlake was out of Region 1 District 8.

Regions don't matter at all guys. It's #1 against #2 and I don't care which way you turn it. Personally I think this is the greatest event in sports this year. I just can't wait to see these two teams get it on.

J2KI thought SLC played Coldsprings in 93. Was,nt the game played in Waco that year. Guess I will have to go Dave Cambells web site and look it up.
