Wylie advances in one game playoff over Midlothian Heritage 4-2 in 8. Walkoff 2 run homer in the 8th.

Wylie was down to their final strike in the 7th with the #8 batter reached on an error and got to second on the throw. The next batter lined a single to center and tied the game (one of two freshman that start) great game by both teams.

Which team won the flip and chose the one-gamer......Wylie or Heritage??? I'm gonna guess Wylie did.....am I right???

According to the Abilene paper it was a mutual agreement by both teams. (Generally, wylie has always played 2 of 3). They said the series could not start on Thursday due to testing and Midlothian had their prom on Saturday along with a player from Wylie was in the state track finals so both coaches decided a one game playoff.

Sounds like them Midlothian players really wanted to go to that prom, Huh? LOL. Well.....I hope they all had a great time and will have sweet memories. Meanwhile......the playoffs continue at Wylie.
