SWEENY — A couple of firsts happened during the Sweeny Bulldogs’ blanking of Needville, 9-0, on Thursday in Game 1 of their Class 4A Region IV bidistrict series.
First, Mark Durham picked up his first playoff win with the Bulldogs. Secondly, junior Caden Homniok did something he hadn’t done before — threw a no-hitter.
