Angleton ISD promoted within its own ranks Monday to tap Wildcats defensive coordinator and assistant athletics director Jason Brittain as its new head coach.

The school board promoted Brittain during a special meeting Monday to replace outgoing head coach Ryan Roark.

Congrats Jason Brittain! He was a very good linebacker for Sinton in 2002 state finalist team. He had been doing a great job as DC for Angleton, good promotion..
