Bridge City's Softball girls were a little too much for 3 Louisiana teams faced at the Alexanderia, Louisiana Tournament Saturday----Game #1 BC 6 Many, LA 1; four innings- Jessica "Biscuit" LeMoine 2 for 2, Meagan Godwin 2 for 2, Laura Gremillion 2 for 2 (one Homer)----Game #2, BC 11 Vidalia, LA 0;3 innings, Jessica "Biscuit" LeMoine 2 for 3, Meagan Godwin 3 for 3, Laura Gremillion 2 for 2 (another Homer),Julia Curl 3 for 3, K. Wallace tripled-----Game #3 BC 7 Jena, LA 0; 4 innings Megan Godwin 2 for 3, Katie Faulk 2 for 2....All in all they played just 11 innings in three games because of time restrictions set on each game. They hit safely 15 singles, 3 doubles, 5 triples and two homers. I truly believe that having 6 year-round Select team players on the squad helps to make a difference....Oh, the pitching! In 11 innings they struck out 19 of 38 batters faced. Laura Gremillion(Senior Pitcher) has already accepted a Scholarship to Syracuse U., and Meagan Godwin (Sophomore) may well be the most sought after Pitcher in Texas when she reaches Senior rank. The Cardinals committed only 2 errors in the 3 ballgames..... Tell us about your team?
