luling played a hell of a game. yoakum could not stop steen and that was the difference.

cuero and hallettsville have a play off spot. if yoakum beats hallettsville and cuero beats luling then yoakum is in as d2 1st seed.
if luling beats cuero they go at third spot.
if luling and yoakum both lose and gonzales beats goliad then it gets complicated because 3 teams will be 2-3. this dist. is allways down to final week.
by the way i tip my hat to luling.those kids played there hearts out.it was a very physicial game and at the end elroy steen was the difference. our kids played hard also but fell a little short.we can continue to work hard and get better. it will take a great game from us to beat hallettsville.

one other possibility i forgot to mention. if yoakum and luling both win. there will be a 3-way tie for 2nd and 3rd. so that would create another mess.
