Well, Matthew, I think it took us a lot longer to make it to your Top 25 last year, so for that, THANKS! :)

If it were just about current records, there wouldn't be 6 teams with losses rated ahead of Liberty Hill, nor would a team with 3-2 season even be in the top 25.

that'd be like saying my team was 16-0 two years ago, but they're 0-5 right now, but they should be ranked because they used to be good....its ALL about current records and the sense to know what good teams of the year before are bringing back...

La Grange is definitely making a move back into the top 25. I predict that they will win again next week at home against Elgin. After that they should be back up there. :D

Sure, we have a great tradition which is a sign of a good program. We played a serious pre-district schedule and make no excuses. Just my onion.

Just my onion. No - it wasn't a slam against Sweetwater, but more verification that ratings are partly based on a team's records over time, such as yours. Liberty Hill, historically has had poor records - prior to last year, the last 9-0 season was 1984. It takes a lot to overcome years of 3-7, 2-8 seasons. Sweetwater does play in a tough district & has my respect.

Wow 13 teams in the top 25 are undefeated. The list looks good Mathew. In one or two weeks that will change. Now that we are in district play you will see some teams with perfect records drop a game or two. For example, Manor just got beaten by La Grange after going 5-0 in preseason. Being undefeated is not as meaningful as level of competetion and quality of players and player performance. Going with the undefeated team might be too easy.

okay if were going from current records as you say lorena was 3-7 last year and waco lavega was i think 6-4. now they are both 5-1 with lavega losing to lorena.

Everyone better watch out for Sweeny. After changing the offensive scheme up a little, our two runningbacks have combined for 367 and 307 yards the last two games. Watch out Rice. Ya'll are goin down.

matt. Don't know how much you get around or if you are only going on stats and previous years, however I make it a point to visit a lot of the schools on friday nights, I have seen celina, have seen Burnett, Forney, Newton and Fairfield, reason being, wanted to see What Kennedale may be facing in playoffs (not Burnett as for sure Div 1) Don't know if you have seen Kennedale play but by far have the greatest overall speed, size lacks but as has been proven over and over, their technique reigns over size everytime. The above mentioned teams would have more than their work cut out for them against Kennedale. My concern would be Gainsville, which i do not understand why with the towns population, school enrollment would only be enough to be 3A, should be 4A. Any how, not knocking your overall top 25, just questioning I guess......later, Catfan

Everyone is entilted to their own opinion in the TOP 25...me...i think Kennedale should be in the top 5 at least...if not #1

AP seems to think kennedale is good enough for #9...

Kennedale should at least be in the top 10...

Kennedale should at least be in the top 10...AP is the worst poll in the state....so don't take what the AP says and think they are the final word in football...Kennedale is a VERY good team...right now you could take teams #2-#21 and they all are fairly even...not much difference there...like I said in the preseason..this year is VERY balanced..and it is turning out to be that way
