Levelland starts at their own 38 after the kickoff. Gerber gets back to the LOS on the first play. Gerber completes a 6 yd slant pass on 2nd down. Now Gerber gets the first down on that 3rd down run.

Gerber replaces his brother from last year's Lobos that broke every state passing record last season.

This will be a good game for Argyle to be tested in the secondary and on the corners......because Gerber does it all. He's a great passer and runner, so the Argyle defense will need to be on their toes on every play with Gerber at the helm.

4th and short for Lobos.....they are going for it. Chase Petter throws Gerber for a 4 yd loss.....big mistake by the Lobos there. Argyle takes over on downs. Here comes Clearman for Argyle in the shotgun.

Clearman looks to throw, but tucks it and runs it down to the 9......3rd and 7 now for the Eagles. Lobos are very quick on defense. Zone read option by Clearman as he throws it to Bryson Hudgens for an Argyle TD. Kick is good.

Pass to Hudgens for 22 yds down to the Levelland 32. Now Estrada runs it 10 yds to the Lobo 22 yd line. Hudgens catch was a one hander.

Now a 19 yd completion and run to the 3 yd line for Hudgens......he's a great tight end for the Eagles, but already has a verbal to play baseball. He's only a junior this season.

Now Argyle has the 2nd teamers in before the half. Not all of the positions are changed out. MLB Campbell is still in there. Lobos are moving the ball now. so the
Eagles rotate back in some of the starters. Now Slater Wright makes an interception.....a great pivot and dive for the ball.

I reckon we will see a running clock in the 2nd half. Gerber's receivers have dropped several good passes.

Here comes a drop kick for a field goal. Now Argyle sees it and will call a timeout. It looked like he was lining up and practicing for a drop kick for some reason.

Looks like Argyle will advance to play the Stephenville Yellowjackets in Aledo at 7 pm next Friday night. Stephenville was a big winner tonight as well.......they have a very good defense and an explosive offense. Should be a very close game and very exciting for the fans.

Aledo is not 100%. It depends on when aledo plays their game. Most likely will be Mansfield.

They had 12 seniors and only 6-7 played. Very young after graduating a large good class last year, 1st yr qb in Gerber. Good coaching staff yes I am bias, looking forward to next year.
