I don't think Midlothian Heritage has changed since last year.....spread it out then air it out.
Again this year, the defense looks very porous, so against good teams the scores can be like last year with Kennedale: 49-47.
Texas Tech must send them their playbook because reference Texas Tech's current standings. This offense will win a lot of games but against a team with good secondary coverage and
a large, fast defensive line to pressure the quarterback, sometimes it's hard to find an open receiver while scrambling out of that comfortable pocket.
Who wouldn't want to have Landon Ledbetter as their QB. Man, he is so accurate and the receivers are all in sync with him. A good team in the playoffs must fire on all three cylinders: offense, defense and special teams. One out of three ain't gonna cut it.

Ignore the first round, consider it a practice/warm up/ fine tuning game.
But I did go to Mason / Rosebud-Lott game last night (Thursday) - left at end of 3rd qt. Mason ahead 42-0. Rosebud-Lott could not do anything against Mason. Couldn't tell how good Mason is because RL was no match for them.

I was there. It was 48-0 with 8:12 left in the 2nd quarter before Fannindel asked for a running clock. The sad part is UH had their 2s in already, and Fannindel scored with about two and a half minutes left to cut the margin to less than 45. It kind of irked me that they wanted to run out the clock, score, and try to make us come out to play the 2nd half. The clock was running continuously even when they were going for the extra points. It didn't work, though. UH scored on 3 plays when they got the ball back, but for "some" reason the clock was stopped when they scored with a little less than 2 minutes left. UH sealed the deal with a 4 and out on their next series.

After the game, a couple of Fannidel players started mouthing and wanting to start a fight. Our coaches stepped in and prevented it. Needless to say, there was no handshakes after the game.

I was in Laredo last night to see 14-3A 4th place Dilley beat 15-3A District Champion Hebbronville 28-27. Last year 4th place 1-9 Hondo beat District Champ Devine in the first round too.

Don't forget 2003 Bandera winning state as a third place team either. I believe they were 3-7 that year.

Unless I blacked out in 2013, I believe you're talking about the 2003 Atlanta Rabbits. That was a dang good team, and they won their district, just FYI. Not to mention, their losses are very misleading. All of them came to "old" 4A teams, many of which were pretty good in their own right. The only close game they played against "old" 3A competition that year was a 7-3 win over Daingerfield. They beat the brakes off Gilmer in the Region II finals, and Gilmer had beaten the brakes off Celina just two weeks prior.

Also, Seminole reached the quarter-finals last year after they finished fourth in 2-4A DII.
