Well, I am not sure how the Region III will turn out. I would say the winner of the Bridge City/Barbers Hill has a good shot...Every season Buna, comes in 2nd to Bridge City, but then plays a weak bracket schedule, and climbs up a ways. Barbers Hill, is loaded with returnees and will be very tough to beat. Now Jasper is in the picture and has a very good team also. You certainly can't count them out. It will be interesting in SE Texas as to who goes the highest. There are some other good teams that can beat any of these on a given night.

Port Isabel will be another team in Region 4 to watch out for. They basically have the entire team coming back from a 16-0 (district record) district champion. Only graduated 3 seniors off last year's team. And they always schedule much tougher 4A and 5A teams in non-district and tournament play.

Boy Tarpon, I wish there was a way to put all of these teams already mentioned into a preseason tournament...It would make baseball so much more exciting. Over in Louisiana, they have open tournaments like that and to just be ask to particpate is quite a compliment.

I have a feeling the Sinton Pirates will say "Bring 'em on" this baseball season. I like Old Cardinals' idea of an "open" tourney. They do it in Basketball, why not Baseball? Carthage is awsome year in and year out in baseball winning acouple 4a state titles and playoff apearences every year. Have alot of guys back from last year, Carthage will be tough to beat.

Keith MacPherson (7)....6...0-1.....0..9.7....0...0...10..7.24..14...10...9Man i pitched every game for us almost and by district my arm was warn out.. plus our stat keepers didnt know what a error was so that ERA is a little inflated.. and we had a couple of the top teams in state in our district last year (Lake Dallas, and Little Elm).. And that concludes my excuses for those stats.. Just wait til this year PPHS
