Halftime score in Carthage vs Palestine was 42-17. Carthage came out to make it 49-17. Running clock with 9 minutes left in the 3rd quarter. Palestine knew they were out matched. I love that Surratt will not run up the score.

I think you guys may be overlooking a very dangerous and strong Goliad team that will give Hallettsville all they can handle in the playoffs. This team is locked and loaded for a deep run with a very good defense and strong offense that is balanced in the running and passing game. Their one loss was in the first game right after Hurricane Harvey to Refugio.......35-28. That game could have gone the other way. They convincingly
trounced an undefeated 8-0 George West team 2 weeks ago 40-13 for the district title. Goliad vs Yoakum last season in the 3rd Round was 23-21. This season the Tigers are averaging 48 pts/game while giving up only 12 pts/game. They are averaging 430 yds/game in total offense......but the real strength of this team is their defense.

Ive been paying attention to Goliad and you might be right but I cant see them hanging 4 Quarters with the Hallettsville team I saw against Yoakum. Think they could make it interesting for a while though
