I can now way that the Astros won the World Series in my leftime. I went to a game back in 2005 which they lost. What a memorable Wednesday night in LA. I had tears of joy afterwards. Got my Astros gear ordered already and will be getting more at Hibbett's in Wharton when it comes in on Friday

Honestly, I was kind of glad the Rangers traded him. He was good when he first came to MLB, but he started having control problems. The one thing I CAN say about him is when he is "on", there's not another pitcher out there like him. The word "inconsistent" is the way I would describe Yu the last couple of years.

As a huge Astros, Rockets and Oilers (RIP) fan and a pretty big Texans fan, the Astros are now the numero uno professional franchise in my hometown. The Oilers held the title in the late 70's and early 80's with Earl, Bum and Luv Ya Blue. The Rockets and Astros jockeyed for the title in the mid-eighties with Nolan Ryan, Mike Scott, Denny Walling (I had to throw that in there) for the Astros and Moses and Akeem (no H) Olajuwon for the Rockets. And, the Rockets grabbed the title with Clutch City in the mid-90's (Mario Elie hittin threes - those were the days). And, the Astros took back the title (barely) in mid-00's (is that how you do that?) with a WS appearance. BUT, THIS TOPS THEM ALL BY FAR!!! I love this Astros team.
(Sidenote - Phi Slama Jama deserves a shout out for taking over the city sports scene from '82 to '84. I still don't know what hurts more - the Astros blowing a 3 run lead going into the 9th in Game 5 vs. the Phillies or the ending to the UH-NC State title game. Devastating.)

Haven't been on here in a while, my fall was made by the astros winning the world series. It has been a long time watching the stros to finally get to experience this season.
