They are calling it "the best World Series game ever". It was definitely the best one I've ever seen, and I've been watching them for over 50 yrs. That includes the 60's era with the Yankees.......that era was just great in baseball.

My Dad took us to the Astrodome in that 2nd yr.....1966. I was 12 and my Dad was the manager of our Little League team.....the Yankees. He helped form the program in Goliad and get it started. There were 4 teams......Yankees, Red Sox, Tigers, and Rebels. Our Yankees team won the championship every year for 8 yrs......he turned it over to others when I finished at age 12. I was the youngest of 3 sons and started at age 4 as the bat boy. The summer of 1966 was my last year in Little League......and my dream of watching the Astros play in the Astrodome came true.

I've lived in the Metroplex for about 20 yrs and have watched and pulled for the Rangers since inception. I have been an Astros fan for life and pulled for them since they were the Colt 45's. I grew up in Goliad, not the Metroplex. Is there something wrong with pulling for both teams in Texas??? I have been for both teams except when they play each other......both are eligible to make the playoffs. Of course, the Rangers haven't been very good for several years now......so pulling for the Astros has become an easy choice in the Division.

Over 40,000 vouchers to watch it there have been given out.

Kershaw still on the mound against Carlos Correa to start the 6th. Correa punches one thru the hole between short and 3rd for a hit to start the inning. Now Gurriel hits a high chopper to Kershaw as Correa advances to 2nd. One out now and McCann at the plate.

Lefty Kershaw against lefty McCann.....McCann hits a deep grounder to 2nd but cannot run fast enough as he is thrown out at first by Bellinger. Correa on 3rd now with 2 outs and an intentional walk to Gonzales. Now here comes pinch hitter Gattis to bat. Now they are going to walk Gattis intentionally to load the bases with two out. Now pinch hitter Mayben is up. He will pinch hit for pitcher Devinski.

Charlie Morton was phenomenal tonight with his pitches and went 4 innings in the win to finish it out for the Astros.

Houston wins it 5-1 in 7 games. 5 runs on 5 hits and no errors......Springer leads off the game with a double, then scores. It's 2-0 after the first. Springer hits a 2 run homer in the 3rd and the score goes to 5-0 after 3 innings. The Astros hold the Dodgers to only one run the rest of the game on good defense and good moves in the bullpen. Morton has a great outing and pitches 4 great innings to finish the job.
