Gatesville— multiple players punishment coming?

i don’t like talking about this kind of stuff but.. several players face disciplinary action from UIL if the district votes to do so. The vote takes place Friday morning and as I understand it, the fellow district members hold the key to players playing or not. I won’t discuss what took place but some of the players are the top offensive weapons.

If this happened in July, do they have to wait for school to actually start to serve the suspensions? Or can they serve the suspensions during August practices?

Gatesville will likely file for a temporary restraining order against the DEC's decision, though. And even after that, they can tie it up in all sorts of litigation and appeals. These players likely won't serve their suspensions until next year, at the earliest.
