Greyhounds come to town undefeated and have given three solid teams their only loss of the season thus far, all @ 4-1. Texans have been through several battles of their own and look to continue that success. This match-up has always been a slobber-knocking slug-fest. Go Texans!!

I'm really looking forward to this game. Boerne will have to eliminate mistakes to stay in the game. We spotted Somerset two touchdowns and have had way too many penalties in just about every game. Hopefully it's a close, good game.

Man, this is an underrated game in a week where there just isn't a huge slate of marquee matchups.

I don't know much about Boerne, admittedly, but they've put together a decent resume midway through the season. The Greyhounds are playing very well on offense, and have been stellar on defense, giving up less than 50 points all year long, 30 of which came in a win over a very good, very explosive Somerset team.

This will, far and away, be the toughest game Boerne has played all season, though. Wimberley appears to be the real deal on both sides of the ball. The Greyhounds are going to have to find a way to slow down Mr. Weeks and company, who have averaged 40 points per game. Then, they'll have to figure out the formula for moving the ball against a stingy Texans defense that hasn't been quite as good, statistically speaking, as Boerne's, but, I would say, has played a much tougher schedule overall.

The Greyhounds will be the underdogs here, and I think that puts a fire in them. I suspect they'll come out hungry and motivated Friday evening, and that'll lead to a pretty tight game for two, maybe three quarters. But, my hunch is the Weeks and the Texans simply wear Boerne down in the second half and come away with a double-digit win to move to 6-0.

You'd have thought it was December cause Boerne lit us up like Christmas tree. We looked very flat and that is a coaching thing, after the tough game last week. Kudos to Boerne. Our secondary got schooled. If this pre-district schedule has not prepared us, nothing will.

No disrespect to Boerne -- they are a damn good football team, better than we are.

But we came out acting like all we had to do was show up and we'd win. Hopefully this game gets the focus back.

I actually didn't think the secondary was that bad. #3 and #5 for them were both REALLY good, and we were blitzing all of the linebackers on almost every play (and they almost never seemed to get to the QB), so the secondary was nothing but man-on-man all night with no help at all. Our real problems on D were that our DLine couldn't get pressure by themselves and that the blitzing LBs not only couldn't get pressure, but they also were giving up edge contain way too often, and their QB was smart enough and mobile enough to take advantage.

And on offense...jeeez. Weeks was getting hit every time he dropped back to pass.

Oh, and that 4th-and-10 screen pass that we ran from their 20 after throwing two passes into the end zone.... I mean, what?
