The defending SE Texas D1 District champs vs the defending D2 State Champs. Bridge City is (0-25) against WO-S on the field in a series that dates back to 1986 (WO-S had to forfeit the 1992 win after the fact). This will be the season opener of two schools that can literally see each other from the top of their stadiums and who both are recovering from catastrophic flooding due to Harvey. Will this be the year BC gets an actual win?

A Bridge Too Far will be the name of this movie, LOL. I guess it is possible for Bridge City to win in an upset at their place......but I wouldn't bet the grocery money on it. It would have to be turnover city for WO-S gifting the Cardinals several easy scores......and then that might not even be enough. Stranger than fiction??? I doubt it.
