(ACADEMY) The State Championship rings for the Academy softball team have been stolen and Temple Police are assisting in the investigation.
Temple Police responded about 1130AM today for the burglary incident. The theft happened in the 2500 block of South 31st St. Someone entered an unlocked car at the Villas on The Hill Apartment Complex and took the rings. The ring ceremony originally scheduled for today has been postponed due to the theft. Temple Police Department is working with Academy ISD to recover the stolen championship rings.
