The City of Wharton is pretty much under water with the cresting of the Colorado River at 50 plus feet and most businesses are closed
School is supposed to open on Sept. 5 but that may not happen.
A lot of folks are stranded in their houses and the National Guard is in town to help out. It's a real disaster and all the roads going to Wharton like FM 102, 1301 and Hwy 59 exits are closed .Buce-ees is flooded as well as Wallmart marking lot and Denny's
Prayers to this city and it's citizens.
Thehe Tigers are scheduled to play Columbia game next Friday in West Columbia but that game may be in doubt
