My youngest son Matt is about to have his 1st child. A boy. Brandi and he went to the doctor yesterday and half of unborn Hudson's heart is not functioning. When he is delivered in October at Children's Hospital in Dallas he will be taken immediately to open heart surgery to repair it. Hudson needs your prayers as well as Mom and Dad who are devastated at this news. This will be most likely my last grandson. That will give me 13 in all counting step grandchildren which I count as mine.

Thanks in advance. We are believing God for a miracle before birth for "Hud" (like the old Paul Newman movie). As some of you might or might not know I was diagnosed with inoperable brain cancer that attached to my optic nerve when I was 3 years old. My parents were told I would not make it to 5 years old. Tomorrow I am 61. God is still on the throne today as he was back then. The cancer was gone with no medical treatment before I was 4 years old. I only have peripheral vision in my right eye and a lazy right eye due to the damage done. But I am still here.

He had a great night. No more catheter. Weaning off the Fentanyl. Giving him methadone for withdrawals from Fentanyl. UGH! Started a feeding tube. Said he is getting "Gatorade on Steroids". He is a little ashen color today but that is expected. Next surgery towards the end of November or 1st of December.

Hudson had a downturn. They have moved his surgery up to Monday. It's called the Norwood Surgery. They wanted to wait until the 1st of December but his stats are over the place so they are doing it early. All day open heart surgery.

Text from Hudson's Mom today:

Took the arterial line out of his left arm, so now both hands are free with nothing on them. Report came back for his blood clot at the end of the arterial line that’s in his stomach and it’s completely gone! So they will be working on that getting taken out.

They just moved him over to the other wing. Everything is going SO GOOD!

Today, the machines are completely off, and the only thing he is getting by tube is milk. This is incredible! He is 41 days old, and has two heart surgeries! Hopefully he gets to come home by Christmas! Maybe sooner.

My oldest son was born 7 week premature. His lung were underdeveloped. He could not breathe on his own. His liver was seemingly inoperable. He did a lot of time in N.I.C.U. but he pulled through. I have been following and praying bobcat but have been terrified I must admit.. I was such a young man when my oldest son was born. I didn't realize the danger he was truly in. God brought my son through the darkness. Now he is a strong 24 year old man. I have faith that the same will happen in this case. God is great.. Merry Christmas.
