Calling Bridge City baseball team out for their actions.

Last night in the bottom of the seventh inning China Spring player knocked in the winning run. there was a play at the plate and the umpire called the CS player safe. The BC pitcher immediately stormed into the face of the plate umpire screaming a the top of lungs. The BC shortstop ran at full speed from his position and ran into/ shoved the plate umpire. There is video on FB. I just need to figure out how to show it on here.

Can care less if CS won or not. Assault charges need to be filed on the punk and the coach needs a trip to the Austin.

And you wonder why there is a shortage of umpires.

Let me say the I can totally understand being upset with the call in that situation.. but you NEVER make contact with the officials. NEVER!

Just watched the video you posted. Kudos to the bridge city coach(es) for getting in there between the players and umpire. They did a great job. As for the players, it's wrong at all times to get in an ump/adults face as they did. i do have to admire their passion though.

Was informed that 3 BC parents had to be escorted from the facility prior to this occurrence. Passion is on thing. This is something totally different.

So did he call the last one a ball or a strike? Seems like the catcher wouldn't have ran up to celebrate unless he heard the ump say strike....

In which case, there was definitely already 2 strikes and it should have been over.

I now understand why BC was so pissed off.... they got screwed if that's the case

Down 0-2 in the count, you don't look at that pitch. That was definitely a strike in that situation. You watch that one go by down 0-2 in the count you're rung up 99% of the time. That was the 1%. Hey it happens. That's baseball.

But that does not excuse the players acting the way they did. That's for the coaches to deal with. There has been quite a few incidents from down that neck of the woods this year.

I agree.. wasn't there, don't have a dog in the fight, been there - done that - no excuse for that one particular players actions...funny how the BC video shuts off before that.... hats off to the BC coaches for defusing the situation quickly..... and Passion?? seriously?? that's my 2 cents...
