that's the first time i've ever seen that one....

I thought, "wow, that was strange" until my mom reminded me we were playing the San Saba Armadillos that week. Was even stranger the next week when we played the Eastland Mustangs :) My great uncle Schuman owned the grocery store there in San Saba.

Always thought the Van "Vandals" was a bit juvenile..lol..for a high school mascot. Never realized there were two definitions for that word. Kind of cool now that I know.

One of the best is from Arkansas, the Fordyce Redbugs. Saw this painted on a burger place window years ago. Laughed almost the way to Louisiana.

Fordyce was the hometown of Paul "Bear" Bryant he was a famous Redbug. I have always like the Itasca Wampuscats, Hutto Hippos, Trent Gorillas, and the Redants whatever school that is. There should be someone in Texas called the Fire Ants that would be a good Texas mascot.

There already is. Though not called "fire ants", they are the almighty Progreso Red Ants!
