Any reports from the Monday/Tuesday baseball scrimmages. Lucked out and got some great weather. Teams should be able to get lots of innings in. Let's hear it.

Fairfield beat up on Whitney pretty good in their first scrimmage. Whitney must be bloody awful.

Gilmer topped Brownsboro, 10-1 I believe.

Gilmer pitched 7 pitchers and each looked pretty solid. Gilmer should be strong this season.

I think it was RR 4-3 after 9.

I thought RR defense was a bit sloppy at times while WT were rock solid. I give the pitching edge to RR.

Both teams hit well & a RR kid was about 4 ft from a HR.

WT ought to dominate 3A again. RR's are gonna have to improve the defense to make a run this year.

Of course it was just a scrimmage, it's early, bunch of different players in/out; I'll give Kent the benefit of the doubt.

Looking forward to games, just unfortunate there will only be 6 home games.

RR has two D1 Pitchers and two more that will pitch at the next level..... it wont even be close in District play.

Bellville put whoopings on Giddings (only 4 innings?) and Rockdale on Sat. Bellville should be able to challenge for a state tournament birth if they stay healthy.

Rockets had their annual Marathon games today and I can say with confidence that they won every one of them.
