Good read and true. A lot of schools had the same mentality until a coach comes along and instills a certain pride in oneself, school, and community.

1a & 1b. Who looses a legendary coach, and then goes 27-3 the next 2 seasons. Gilmer has an unbelievable program.

Dangerfield? Tatum? Longview?

Unfortunately Daingerfields days are done. There is just hardly anything left over there but some rusty iron. Tatum still a force but to sustain I think they need drop down. What has Longview ever done besides be LT whipping boy? They have 0 state championships as far as I know in football.

My bad.......They picked one up in 1937.
