Makes my heart swell with pride - Once a Yoeman Always a Yoeman - 79,80,81 1058

When I was in elementary school I would go and watch Joe Smitherman ( KMIL radio ) play.
The football field used to have a 390 yrd cinder track around it and the light poles were about 6 yards from the sidelines. You would get splinters from the wooden bleachers. They were covered in holes from track spikes. Grass was so thick that you never got muddy on rain games.
