4A State Title Rematch!

Tonight 6pm in Dallas ISD Coca Cola Invitational. 4A #1 Dallas Lincoln vs. 4A #2 Silsbee in championship semifinals. Winner gets the winner of 6A #2 Dallas Skyline and 5A #1 Lancaster.

This is a rematch of last year's state championship. Lincoln defeated Silsbee 75-73.

#1 Silsbee is taking names... They notched a win over 6A The Woodlands tonight after beating former #1 4A Dallas Lincoln and holding their own against current #1 6A Dallas Skyline all in the last week.

I am hoping we can seal the deal too. Have had way too many teams in the past that should have won a state title, including last year.

PA Memorial will do well in that district. Will come down to them, Ozen and Central. Central beat PAM last night, 56-54

Two studs. '6"3 Devon McCain and '6"4 Jordyn Adams are sophomores. Both with offers from Baylor. The other three starters are seniors. '6"2 Michael McCain (verbally committed to SFA for football) '6"5 Willie Jones (offers from several DI schools for football) '6"3 Trejan Harris (leading scorer on the team). 2nd five has two freshmen, Braelon Bush who is ranked in top 20 in state for freshmen, Chris Martin a top 50 player, junior '6"3 Kalon Barnes who is a top WR getting offers from several big time DI schools, senior Calvin Tyler Jr. who was the district MVP in football after rushing for over 2800 yards in 11 games, getting offers from several DI school, and senior Bruce Newton who has been a varsity player for three years. The 3rd five has three soph. and 2 juniors.

Very talented group of young men. 7 or more getting DI offers in basketball or football. 5 seniors, 3 juniors, 5 soph., 2 freshmen. Silsbee will be good for a while.

If you have some time tomorrow, you can check Silsbee out as they are playing 6A The Woodlands College Park and their star player Quinton Grimes tomorrow at College Park at 2:30pm. College Park just came off a game beating 4A #3 Brazosport 91-89 with Grimes scoring 48. This should be a very interesting match up for Silsbee.
