So sad, it seems it's happening more often too :( We had a LARGE amount of $$ disappear from the Soccer association here in Cuero - probably 10 or so years ago. Treasurer not only stole every $$ in the checking account, she over drew the account. That was back in the 'one signature' days - it may be a hassle sometimes, but two signatures are a MUST on accounts like this....

As a former Treasurer for Robinson Little League for 6 years, I saw first hand how hard it can be to come back to black, but we did it. We had an outstanding President. The thing that helped the most was that we quit using lights & saved about $18k a year. Stinking line charges during the off months were about $1100/month. Sorry, I got on the soap box a little, anyway good luck to the Belleville folks & see if y'all can get a local CPA firm to set y'all up some internal controls.
