what you’ve just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in the downlow is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have Mercy on your soul.

1. Last time we played Cuero, we beat them 34-6.

2. The previous time, we beat them in the playoffs.

3. And that was after beating them on their home field in the regular season.

These are facts.

Given these facts, I don't see how anyone could argue that Wimberley doesn't own Cuero.

In the area rd we won by 8. You guys were still damn good that year not to mention...going 13-1 in 2009. Not buying it.

Didn't we break some sort of 60+ game home game win streak in that first one?

And then when we beat them in the playoffs, they had only lost to us and Liberty Hill that season. Soooooooooooo down.

I know the Texans are a heavy underdog. Everyone is calling it and many looking forward to a Cuero Navarro rematch. It's a given. Not sure if I should even waste the money for a ticket. Think I may stay home and watch the latest season of "The Ranch."

I don't think Cuero is looking past Winberley, that would just be insane. Any team can be beat on any given night. You have to take each week serious, otherwise you will be pulling out the round ball the next week. It's not about any of our opponents, the prize is December 16 in Dallas. So in order to reach that, all of our focus is on Wimberley because if we don't take care of business this week there won't be a next week.

The defensive line for the AKC will play a role and the most underrated QB in the region Drew R....(my apologies Blue 42) will show poise and clutch throws to give the Gobbs another shot at the boys from Geronimo next week. Cuero by 27.

You and at least 23 others on here feel the same way. lol Just may be the way of the Buffaloes this week too..but i would never say such a thing. You know what though. I believe in these young men because they believe in themselves. So...the Texans are going into this game with the expectation to win. For myself I believe Cuero just may have a hole in their swing. Besides they are a bout due to lay that proverbial egg.

Gotta go Cuero because of the Gobbler D. Points won't come easy for the Texans. On the other hand, the Texans have a very solid D also and points won't come much easier for Cuero. This is an upset special but I'll go with Cuero 28-21.

I'm superstitious. I don't want to disturb the Texans' strong "under the radar" factor. I got as close as I thought I could get on my prediction without hurting the Texans football karma. You don't want to rile the football gods. Definitely rooting for the Texans. You've got the players to win this game. That's for sure.

Gobblers, Texans meet Friday in regional
Submitted by Edgar on Tue, 11/22/2016 - 11:01am

A familiar playoff foe stands between the Gobblers and a consecutive trip to the 4A-Division II Region IV finals: the Wimberley Texans. Wimberley defeated Pearsall in the opening round before dispatching Sinton in the area round.

Cuero and Wimberley have not played since 2011 and have not met in the playoffs since 2010, but their post season bouts usually turn into impressive contests. In the eight times the teams have played since 1994, both teams have won four games. Wimberley has taken the last three, including two in 2010, one of which was the area playoff, 43-35.

Congrats on the win Cuero!! We had you guys worried for a bit. Y'all must have had 80 players suited up. Surely a couple of linemen would not have made any difference. lol #52 Sr LB Ben Garza for the Texans was not suited up. #24 RB Hunter Williams has played very little since the Boerne game. They were both missed. Garza would have made a big difference on those runs to the outside. Not sure what has happened with Williams (he provided our quickness) but I don't believe he was even on the sidelines tonight. Impressed with our #20 Hayden Krebs (remember that name) tonight and only a sophomore. 12 catches for 153 yds. This game reminds me a lot of the Coldspring game of 2010. We did okay the following year. Best of luck next week against Navarro. I have seen both and if I had to say, the Panthers have the advantage.

Congrats Cuero. I've always had respect, but more since I saw practically your whole team wearing green show up in our town for flood cleanup last year.

I actually thought we played better (until we got worn out) than we did last week against Sinton. And when we scored, I thought we had a chance to win. But Cuero didn't blink, and ran it down our throats to get the lead and the momentum back. That's the sign of a damn good team.

(And Tejastrue, Garza has been wearing #25 for some reason; he was out there. But yeah, we have a shot a being really good next season.)

Tejastrue
11-26-2016, 10:07 PM
#25, that's no dang linebacker number. lol Well, that blows that theory. Wishful thinking I guess. There was a #52 on the sidelines in a jersey / street clothes. After looking at the roster again for the Pearsall game I see who #52 actually is. Any word on #24?

rb585
11-26-2016, 10:20 PM
Any word on #24?

He wasn't on the sidelines to start the season, then appeared for a few games, then disappeared.

I've heard that he just wasn't that interested in playing football.

Tejastrue
11-27-2016, 01:11 AM
He was there from Giddings to Boerne I know (5 Games). He was also at the Pearsall game. Kinda sad. Over 600 yds in the 5 games he played. What a talent. I hope he reads this. The Texans can use his talent next year. heck...it could have made a difference in the playoffs this year.
