I'm almost positive, but I don't mind being corrected, that Gilmer has played the week of Thanksgiving every year since 2003 except for 2006. 14 out of 15 years. That's an accomplishment to be proud of.

Wow very impressive. Just goes to show how sustained Gilmer's success has been. This is Carthage's 8th time in the last 10 years. Them Dawgs are new money compared to the Buckeyes!

It's going to be a very tall task, but Carthage has been in this exact same spot many times. We have made it almost our trademark to beat teams we were not supposed to over the years. This might be another special Thanksgiving. Got a lot of the same feeling as the Navasota game last year.

Argyle, AW, Carthage, LV, and CS all playing again at Thanksgiving. Not surprised at all. These teams were in a lot of people's top 5 or top 10 before the season started. They stood the test of the season, and are all still battling deep in the playoffs once again in 2016.

Thanks guys..now before anyone says anything..I know we have played at Thanksgiving the previous 2 years. It just feels different this time around. I'm more appreciative it seems. Especially after last year.

Well they will be tested big time this week. Good luck against Cuero.

You are ALL WRONG! It's PRACTICE of Thanksgiving morning and watch football in the afternoon. How many of you have done that?

Better yet, how many have practiced on Thanksgiving morning and actually played on Thanksgiving????? Family football in the front yard doesn't count.

I really miss the Aggies/Horns, Sooner/Huskers and Cowboys/Lions games. It is so watered down now or non-existent.
