Chris Madrid's is a pretty good place to eat at. It is off of Hildbrand and Blanco not far from the stadium and close to I10. A block down from there is the original Blanco Cafe. It has great Tex-Mex food.

Tip Top Cafe 2814 Fredericksburg Rd Real good comfort food. It was listed in Texas Monthly for their Chicken Fried Steak. It doesn't look like much from the outside but they have some good food and the homemade Onion rings are top notch.

Why yes it is! Great trivia info there Blue42. I used to live down the road in Carrizo Springs. Grandfather had ranches in Carrizo and Crystal City. They used to have a statue of Popeye in Crystal City. Not sure if it's still there.
