Sinton was rolling undefeated with their back up QB. When the starter came back that's when the turnover problem began.

Gorman 14 tds 11 ints 1512 yards

Orta 13 tds 4 ints 1331 yards

WOS can defend the pass. We just rarely see it in this region. That used to be our forte and still is after Ennis surprised us with the spread for the first time ever in the 2000 Finals.

A very likely match up against Waco Robinson in round 2 will be a good test against our pass defense.

We adjusted at halftime. Just not enough. I think Ennis was up 31-0 or 38-0 and we at least made it a game 38-24. We definitely won the 2nd half :D. Kinda the opposite of our Gilmer State Final.

Sad but true. When's the last time Gilmer or Alvarado won it all? Remind me... I forget.

I forget.we came within 1 point of winning it all..once..but, being an Alvarado alum, having a son on the last 2 teams, another son on this years and next years team, and then another son fixing to start his journey through Indian football as a 6th grader..iv learned to just appreciate my teams efforts in the quest for excellence..it starts over every year..i think the Indians will win state this year, just like every year..atleast until a better team stops that dream...that hs football.
