Burk wins the toss and elects to receive.....Argyle will kick off from the North goal. Burkburnett won last week against Decatur. National Anthem playing now.

Sadler kicks it off for a touchback.....Burk starts at their own 25. Marcus Jackson is qb and lofts one up high to a 6-4 Senior and he gets it for a 22 yd. reception out to the 47.

2nd and 8 now at midfield. Jackson is sacked on that keeper. 3rd and 13 now. Jackson scrambles and is brought down for a yard loss. Burk will punt. Sadler gets the punt and returns it past midfield to the Burk 47......a good return for Sadler.

Ledford to Williams on first for only a yard. 2nd and 9.....fake to Williams and pass to Estrada down to the 33. Flag down.....lineman downfield on that inside screen. Ball comes back. 2nd and 16 now. Ledford to Cale Nanny deep to the 5 yd line and he is tackled on the 2 for a 50 yd pass. Great pass and catch from Ledford to Nanny.

Colby Youngblood gets the handoff, but John Phillips drops him the backfield for a loss. 3rd and 10 for the Bulldogs. Jackson throws it complete to Tylone Willies for a first down for Burk on the sideline.

Handoff to Youngblood for 3 yds......he had over 200 yds last week against Decatur. Now Jackson on a keeper for 14 yds and another Burk firstdown to the Eagle 43. Now an incomplete screen pass.

Alot of sophs on this Burkburnett team on offense. Another incomplete pass overthrown to their tall receiver. Jackson has room on the rightside all the way down to the 18 yd line.....25 yds on that keeper.

Now here goes the fade to the tall receiver and he outjumps the Argyle defender for the TD. Dixon has no chance against the taller receiver. They go for 2 pts, but the run is stopped short.

Kickoff for another touchback. Evidently Burk's offense is fairly talented with some very good skill players that are for the most part only Sophomores.

Loss for 4 yds on first. 2nd and 14 as Jackson throws it to Gentry Mullins....he gets a blindside block on the defender and advances it downfield for a firstdown.

Jumpball pass to the tall receiver and Dixon barely knocks it away.

Pass is intercepted by Slater Wright as he goes 101 yds for a PICK 6 TD for the Argyle Eagles. Jackson was simply throwing the ball to a spot at the corner of the endzone and Wright jumped the ball to take it all the way for the Pick 6......that's a very long Pick 6!!!

Now Mouser gets Jackson behind the line for another loss. Burk will punt.....wobbly at about midfield is whistled dead as Campbell tried to advance it. At midfield for Argyle. Now Ledford to Scott Hayes and a flag is thrown for pass interference. He had no choice....Hayes was open.

At the 35.....here comes a blitz to catch Ledford flatfooted....he just throws it away out of bounds. Now here goes Casey Harper with a block from Chase Estrada down to the one yard line at the sideline on that inside pitch.

Youngblood is only 5-8 but is a human bowling ball.....he's big and strong from the waist down. Now a 60 yd TD pass from Jackson to Manuel. He outran everybody to the endzone. Going for 2 pts again on that pass attempt.

Phillips goes out and Argyle puts in Clearman for the nickel package. Now a complete pass and huge gain after the hit as he breaks loose for a Burk firstdown. Clearman finally makes the tackle.

Jackson on the fake to Youngblood and keeps it for the one yard TD. Jackson is very athletic and was moved from receiver to qb during the season. The extra point is no good on that fade pass attempt.

Illegal procedure on Argyle. 1st and 15 now. Williams for only 3 yds on first down. 2nd and 12. Ledford rolls left and hits Garrett Carter for 16 yds and he gets out of bounds to kill the clock. First down at the 46.

Ledford to Nanny across the middle and he just dropped it. He was wide open. Sweep to Williams as he is stopped for no gain. 3rd and 10 for Argyle.

Jackson will throw it from the shotgun.....looking, looking, and now he takes off. He is dropped and now Burk lets the clock run.

Pass interference on that pass over the middle to Youngblood...... a little acting by Youngblood falling down right when the pass arrived.

Argyle will receive the kickoff to start the 2nd half. Argyle will be graduating 30 seniors this year.....on senior night here in Argyle.

Gotta give Burkburnett offense some kudos......they are not slouchy even though the record does not show it. They are young on defense and they should be much improved next season.

They had over 500 yds of offense last week against Decatur for their first win of the season.....and are on pace for close to 500 yds total offense in this one this week......maybe against the backups for Argyle. But still.....400 to 500 yds total offense ain't bad.

Cale Nanny takes the kick and sidesteps a defender as he is tripped up at the Burkburnett 39 yd line or he would have gone the distance. He's one of the fastest on the field tonite.

Ledford rolls left and the pass to Estrada in the endzone bounces off his shoulder pads.....the defender was right there. Now here comes out the Eagles punt team for the first time tonite. Sadler rugby style to the one but runs into the endzone for a touchback right at the sideline.
