I think CS has it going on this year, but.... LV is the defending champions and are undefeated. LV by 7 in a close one.

I think it comes down to defense and I believe China Spring is much better on that side of the ball and they're no slouch offensively either.

It's got the makings of a classic. And it's also, quite possibly, the first of two matchups between these teams. We could be heading to a repeat of the 2007 postseason, which would be incredible.

it happened last year too. CS lost two games last year, both to LV.

Little 'ol LH was only down by one score late in the 4th quarter, I mean really late in the 4th, when LV put up the death knell score. LV still suffers from what we called last year, a lack of discipline and taking care of the details, and they suffer from it again this year, unfortunately so did we as we put the ball on the turf or in their hands a few times. If our almost entirely based run offense can put up 20 against what some are calling one of the best defenses, then I think CS can put up plus 30. Yep - LV has speed and size, but if CS plays a solid game, not perfect, just solid, they will take down LV by two or more scores.

Yea China is kind if run heavy. 300+ yards against Burnet. About what they have been averaging.

I have seen China Spring this year and I saw them last year twice (once versus Cameron and then again in the quarterfinals vs. La Vega).
Though Cameron played horribly, it is my opinion that CS is a more complete team this year and they had their chances last year in that quarterfinal game.
Offensive line play is the most impressive part. If La Vega can slow down the ground game and force the CS QB into more predictable passing situations, that is how I can see La Vega winning.
Pick: China Spring by 14-21.

Just want to post this again... and again ..... and again. I sat in a freezing cold shipping container in the middle of a desert in Iraq at 3:00 am to listen to this game via a very poor internet connection (Iraqi laborers were sucking up all the bandwidth watching porn) in December of 2007. I can remember the play by play just like it was yesterday.

Panfan why do you say Little o Liberty Hill. LH school is alot larger enrolment than Burnet. LH is not so little anymore

Again, I knew seats were going to be hard to find, so I went out to CS last Friday night....to an empty stadium. I did put a piece of tape on one of the seats, so I could show up late tonight and still be on the 50!

La Vega has absolute studs on defense. But shame on China Spring for lack of execution on offense. They shot themselves in the foot over and over.

This was the first CS game I went to this year, and La Vega made them look pretty bad. La Vega dominated every aspect of this game, except special teams, which actually could've cost them the win.
Does anyone have the game stats or know where they can be found?

None, unless someone kept it personally. CS doesn't turn loose info like that. None of their kids stats are listed on the Waco Trib's Weekly Stat page.
I know LV had two drives of 75+ and CS has a 40 + one. From what I could glean there was not any "big" plays and a whole lot of defense on both sides.
