I'm bored with insomnia so updating my database and decided to come up with some random stats for funsies

Here's the current best records Statewide of 11-man programs for the past five seasons from 2012 through Week Six 2016 (as of Oct. 2nd). This means that these will definitely change as the remaining 11 weeks in the season progress.

The maximum possible total of games played is 70 although some teams haven't played six games yet this season otherwise Katy and Cameron Yoe would be at the max as they both played in four consecutive state finals 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015.

I'll take it. Had a rough start to 2014, but ended up winning when it mattered.

I believe this also brings up the conversation of is it harder to win at a small school or a large school?

I personally believe it is more difficult to win at 4A and below schools. There are a few exceptions (unfortunately), but for the most part you are dealing with home grown talent. In Cameron, we are winning with Cameron, Tx talent. We have gotten a few transfers over the years, but no studs.

I would say it's definitely more difficult to put up numbers like that in lower classifications because the top tier small schools have to play larger schools to prepare. Allen has no school larger than them to even attempt to play so there will be built in losses for most of the smaller programs (WOS losing to three times larger Richmond Foster twice).

When the big 3 and El Campo, who? dropped down in 2012 it was all about the big three. People that knew Ricebird football knew better. Just need that SC so we can be overrated for the next ten years like many others. LOL I'm not surprised that the Birds have won more gamrs than the others but I am surprised big time by whats happened to Stephenville. Hard to figure.

9 of the top 20 are 3 A and below. Sustaining win streaks over multiple years is a big accomplishment at this level. One player can make the difference on a team. You might have a good two to three year run because of him. Smith at Cameron is a good example. The QB at Bremond is another. Cameron has been a little different. They have had a string of players that continue to make the difference in games.

You can also be a very good team in a notoriously weak District and or Region that helps pad the win column. There are numerous examples of that in this list.

We have had some good classes. My brother was on the 2012/2013 teams and the writing was on the wall there. Deep, solid talent throughout with a few exceptional players mixed in (Wright/Webber). I don't believe we are nearly as deep as far as individual classes go now, but there is enough within each class to make us successful. We rarely have down back-to-back classes. 2014 was supposed to be our "down" year because we had very few seniors.

We only have 15 seniors this year but there is still a good mix of talent, including a freshman.
