THE SCOOP: The records are lopsided but this game has a lot of meaning for Sinton because it is the return to the sidelines for coach Tom Allen. Allen spent a week in Minnesota at the Mayo Clinic to be part of a clinical trial to treat a rare neurological disorder. Emotions will be high

for the Pirates, who have won 11 of the past 12 meetings between these teams. The Panthers have struggled to stop teams this year, giving up just shy of 30 points a game. The first meeting between these two teams was in 1925 and Sinton holds a 61-23-1 record in the series.

Sinton been playing with backup sophomore qb Devyn Orta since early in game 2 due to injury on junior qb Colt Gorman and Orta has had the offensive passing game rolling that includes a 544 yard passing game against Beeville. Gorman might be ready to return but Orta seems ready to be the starter. We'll see which direction Sinton goes tonight.

Gorman will be back at the helm. It's a good problem to have...to capable QBs! I think those series numbers are off by a few games. Using WOS87's data I came up with 63-23-1. :thinking:
