Ugliest Cuero game I have ever seen and I have been going to games for 22 years. The film will be fun to watch. But a win is a win.

I agree but I give the Kids credit in this one for hanging in there and fighting for the W. I just hope going forward that we can mix it up some on offense and use ALL our weapons in some way. Having that much talent on offense only get a couple touches a game is going to come back and bite us in the butt and I'm not talking by using that one play we run which makes it obvious what we are going to do. I'm not the coach but its easy to see watching from the stands. BTW the refs sucked last night lol

The Cuero Defense was stout in short distance run defense. The QB is a great athlete and at 6'6 220 his future is bright. Whittington made a HUGE 3rd down reception and rant had a couple nice carries late. Sweeny almost picked up an onside kick with 3:00 left. Cuero showed great sportsmanship kneeling to end the game at the Sweeny goal line. After a 3-3 start for Sweeny I
m starting to like our chances of making a playoff spot.

I was shocked to see how poorly Cuero played in the 1st half. They looked a lot like.......Port Isabel. Dumb penalties, fumbles, etc. etc.
And yeah, Sweeny should have no trouble making the playoffs out of D15. After Cuero, Sinton, Wharton and Sweeny, there's a big drop off in quality with the last two teams. All Sweeny needs to do is take care of business and they're in.
Also, I wouldn't be shocked if D15 sweeps D16 this year.

In all my years of being a Gobbler Fan, I've never seen a cuero player ejected. Penalities need to be cleaned up or it's going to be a season.

Last year at the Yoakum game 2 Cuero kids were ejected 1 was for no reason what so ever.

The Gobblers did look out of sorts but give ALL the credit to the Bulldogs. The played with intent. As far as the offense goes, Drew does seem to have more command and gets the O in more of a rhythm and that gives us another huge target at WR with Taylor out there. But my main concern is that there may a lack of leadership with all personal fouls and unsportsmanlike penalties that have been committed as of late. Maybe this is the wake up call we need to get focused on the task at hand.
