How bout them Buckeyes! Way to go Gilmer. People outside of ETX don't know how big of a win this was.

Doesn't look like Gilmer will have the defense to stop anybody this year, but, my Lord, they can put up some points on just about anybody.

Gilmer had 4 turnovers that lead to a lot of those points. Gilmer has played 3 teams with really high powered offenses this year all above their class. Now that district starts for them let's see what happens. I have a funny feeling their defense will all the sudden improve when they start playing 4a DII competition. Don't be fooled Gilmer is the team to beat in the ETX region of their class.

No question Gilmer is the class of Region II in Div. II. You'll get no argument from me on that. I fully expect the Buckeyes to win out from here, until they fall to WOS in the title game. My point, though, is Gilmer won't win a championship on defense this year. But they could make it to Jerry World by scoring 50-60 points a game, even in the postseason.

Yeah, that's a pretty accurate statement about Progreso.

And Raymondville had been dead in the water the first 4 games, then all of a sudden they blow out Kingsville who is no slouch.

I'm unsure what to think of them now. LOL
