Alvarado @ Jacksonville 2pm saturday

The Indians(Alvarado) travel northeast to Jacksonville to face their version of Indians. Though they are 5A, their only loss this season was to 4A Palestine. Who were the team they beat?..Pine Tree(longview), Hallsville, and Mount Pleasant..all winless 5A teams. They do have some talent. a few playmakers with good speed, and some size. The QB can run and he passes well, especially between the hash marks..mainly to one WR, stays locked on that one receiver, doesnt ck down. RB is good on misdirection and in space. they have a big back who runs straight, with 0 lateral movement, also looks confused alot lol. Defense is ok..i dont think ok will cut it against our O, but, we still have to execute consistantly.
biggest pain in the a^@ will be getting into their "historic" 75 year old stadium...we will manage LOL!!:foul:

NOTE: Sub-Varsity games will be played at our new practice facility at the HS this week, 7/8th grade "A team" games at the main stadium at the JH..Maybe a failed bit, JV/Freshmen games have been drawing some large crowds and bleachers at HS are smallish..we shall see..:wave:

pretty sure Jacksonville is southeast of Alvarado though..LOL!! I was writing that while visiting son at college station! Haha! But, you're right, the Indians will travel slightly southeast. After talking to some friends in that area, I found my parking solution!

We should... Our district is playing a lot better than 1st thought to begin the season. That is the plan we hope.

Pretty much how I expected the game with Jax to go..Alvarado dominated the LOS offensively, reeling off big chunks while burning up the clock. D got timely stops and we basically wore them down. They got a trash TD at the end. There is still work to be done, but I really like how this Indian team is progressing and just getting better, and more physical every week. bye week next week, back to fundementals, and some strength and conditioning and preparing for a strong district run.
