Sinton is 11-2 since 2002 against Orange Grove and have won the last 6 meetings.

Sinton last game: Sinton 36 Rockport Fulton 15

Most of the rest of D16 II will be interested in this game. Not much is known about Orange Grove this season since they graduated Hondo Harris last year. And Rio Hondo has already played Sinton this season.

Most of the rest of D16 II will be interested in this game. Not much is known about Orange Grove this season since they graduated Hondo Harris last year. And Rio Hondo has already played Sinton this season.They seem to have a very capable qb to run the offense and some receivers to work with. Both teams reloading some but should give a good indication where both teams are at this point in the season. I think Sinton starts 5 sophomores on defense and have step in and been playing very good defense. Only points they have given up has been to start the 2nd half in the 3rd qtr in both games.

Sinton by 7. they have a young team but they will allways play tough sound football. Don't know much about OG except they have a new Coach and lost an excellent QB. OG also have a winning tradition and it will be a good non dist match up

THE SCOOP: The Pirates lost QB Colt Gorman to an injury last week and he likely will not play, which could put some pressure in Sinton's running game and RB Tristan Canales. The Bulldogs, meanwhile, bounced back from a season-opening loss to Gonzales to shut down Aransas Pass.



My input:
Back up sophomore Devyn Orta gets the start if Gorman is out. Orta played 3+ qtrs. against Rockport Fulton with a rushing td and 2 passing td after Gorman was injured early first qtr.

Sinton young defense getting better each week and have look solid in both scrimmages and both games.

It just took a little while for the team to gel behind our back up QB, but once they did they played lights out. The defense was sluggish in the first half, but must have gotten another amazing half time pep talk from Coach Allen. They were a totally different team second half. People should know by now to never count the Sinton Pirates out...they never quit! :tisk:
