Gilmer with over 600 yards last week and a few shy of 700 yards this week. Unbelievable. And, Aaron Brown's stats after two games: 60 comp. 77 att. 944 yards 10 TD's 0 Int.'s. Whoa! And, against two solid opponents. What is going on up there?

I haven't really noticed anything different than the last 13 years:D

Seriously Poppy is a lot of fun to watch. Carthage, Nacogdoches and Liberty Christian will tell alot more about our defense. We are going to score in bunches. At this point, we are going to give up scores in bunches. That will only take you so far........ sometimes.

Bob, he had one TD drive in the 4th. When he was limping. I didn't understand why he wasn't out of the game.

Poppy finished the drive that he started in the 3rd quarter. He played 3 or 4 plays into the fourth to put us up by 4 scores. He turned his ankle on the previous drive but gutted it out for the last one. I think he will be okay.

An interesting tidbit in this game: Center had 0 first downs in the 2nd half, and I think they had negative yards, less than 10 for sure. I think the Black Flag defense has begun to find itself. The special teams also improved a bunch this week.

50 unanswered points in the 2nd half.

I was very impressed with Qua Heath. Poppy is accustomed to him as a target from earlier grades and the JV team last year and that was evident Friday night. They seem to have a sixth sense of where each other is on the field.

Gilmer looking strong! Looks like the defense played better! Looks like a contender.
