Should be a good one.

Really fun/exciting opener for these two teams. I expect a lot of speed out of the Buffs, and a solid defense and punishing ground game out of the Panthers. Since it's so early on, I'll take the experienced Panthers by a pair of scores. I think Navarro will just be better, defensively, and will grind Giddings to death with that running attack. I expect this one to be a slobberknocker, though.

The panthers have the makings to have a dominant ground game this year with all 3 starting RB's going into there 4th season on the varsity squad. (Not to mention a 3rd year starting QB, who has also been on varsity since his freshman season!)

BTW- I sure hope that your right about your prediction!

I haven't seen any of the faithful Buffalo posters around the 'Low lately. What's up with that 1st and goal? This is going to be a very interesting game for sure. Both teams are loaded with talent so it is hard to predict the winner. I say the last team scoring wins. I'll take our rival Giddins by 3.

Gotta go with the Panthers on this one. Giddings has a few tough pre-district opponents, especially next week.

Alright I guess I better weight in since Salty keeps asking where I've been.

Give me Navarro by 14, this one will be close till mid way through the 3rd where I think Navarro will start to create some separation. The offense is looking strong as ever with three top notch running backs, and a solid QB. And the defense is almost identical to last years, that gave up on average like 10ish points per game I think. Giddings speed may give the Panthers some trouble at first, but Navarro is anything but slow, so they should be able to adjust to that without too much difficulty. My biggest worry is that Giddings does have some size, which Navarro has struggled against in the past.

Regardless of the outcome of the game, its about damn time to watch some football again! I'm pumped!

I hope Navarro cleans up a few things from the two scrimmages. I don;'t feel like we were as strong as last year at this time. Gotta go with my Panthers!

Hope I get the Stats soon! Only gave up 1 TD on Defense. They ran a KO back and stripped and returned a fumble for scores. They have some big time athletes. Slot T and a little passing was the ticket!

Navarro 435 Yards Offense and Giddings 177 . Awesome job to just give up 1 defensive score against them!

Outstanding effort to get a win on the opening game against a solid opponent. Congratulations to Navarro.

Never felt good until the last 5 minutes or so when we drained the clock. TOP is huge as they have so many weapons. Thanks Pud. Sure Hope JK will be OK!

Great win for the Panthers. We should definitely be riding high into week 2. We also learned a few things in week one for example we have a QB that can run the ball!! we haven't had that luxury since 2010!!!

Thanks Senton Fan. I posted the link from the paper recapping the game as the Writer Scot Kibbe covers Navarro Football and this is his 25th season.

The video is done by an outstanding student from Navarro. Chandler Dillon edits and David Munoz films.
