That seems like a long haul for Dripping Springs, up to Waco and such. I'd switch them with either Burnet or Lampasas.

This looks good...

Manor had 650 students last realignment. Do you really think they will go up to 4A now? What numbers did they give the UIL? I would be surprised if they grew by over 200 students since 2002.

WHAT??? Sorry Matt, 4A without district 32 just will NOT work. The UIL won't allow that to happen.

Matthew328 - If those numbers were correct Kennedale would not be 4A. (There are several others with incorrect figures, also.) I was told they turned in 813. I'm impressed with the amount of work you put in on this topic. No wonder you haven't been on the board lately!

I didn't see Highland Park in a district...does that mean you think they'll move up to 5A? I sure hope so.

3afan2k3 - I don't know it won't get Kennedale moved up to 4A. My point was that if the #'s Matt mentioned were correct that would not send them up a classifcation. He said 854 - 1882 would be 4A. They are to be rumored at 813. Do you understand?

According to the 2002-2003 enrollment numbers last year Kennedale had an enrollment of 821...

9th grade: 275
10th Grade: 216
11th grade: 185
12th grade: 145

so for this year as rough estimate..you take 9th, 10th and 11th grade and that gives you..676....then you add in the incoming 8th grade from last year of 233....and that gives you 909....now I know there is some attrition...drop-outs, people moving in and out...but with those #'s Kennedale turning in 814 is far-fetched...

How do u think the MANOR MUSTANGS will do next year in the move to 4a. (FOOTBALL, BASKETBALL)

3 maybe 4 teams you have in District 20 will be 3A next year. And Beaumont Ozen in district 21 will be 5A because of their designation as a magnet school.

I like it, Matt - but hey - it would be too logical to happen - LOL. Boy would I feel sorry for Diamond Hill and Riverside. They should get a waiver to play down - way down - they just don't get the participation in athletics for the amount of kids they have. It's sad.

interesting prediction... Manor moving into districts with Lampasass, Lockhart, Burnett...tougher district, more traveling time, less chance for winning unnless everyone else gets really bad in the years to come, beside, we've not grown THAT much, we're pretty good, but not the best in that district or our current district. Should be interesting to see the final result!

WF Hirschi supposedly turned in between 780 and 800. They are probably going down.
