Got a letter from Honda yesterday about my wife Cindy's 2009 Honda Civic has a defective passenger side air bag.
Called Gillman Honda in Rosenberg where we purchased it from. They said they had to order it and it could take a long time because there is such a big demand to replace them.
Do any of yall have any Honda Cars?
I'm driving a 2013 Civic and they told me to expect a recall as well in the future on the airbags/
They said it will take 3 hours to replace them.

I think virtually every auto produced in USA has an airbag recall. I had same thing in my Dodge 1500. Took 3 months on waiting list to get replaced.

just fyi.....one thing to keep in mind about these Civics....some of these year models have defective engine blocks...my mechanic discovered a crack in the block in an unusual place...he said it looked like a defect to him....anyway, I didn't know what to do and figured it was gonna cost me a bundle....I called Honda and described what my mechanic had discovered....the Honda guy basically told me IT WAS a manufacturer's defect....told me to bring it in and get a new engine block put in at no charge.....so I did!....At the time it happened my car had 150K on it....so, I got a new block at that time and have now hit 300K total miles with this car (with two different blocks).....just glad I called Honda about it otherwise I would've paid a small fortune......anyways, just keep a close eye on your car as it gets a little older.....

Those Civics also eat rear tires like I eat bacon. I've owned two of them. (2006 and 2008)

Got a call from my Honda Civic dealer today and the airbag came in so will get it replaced next Monday morning. The hardest part is the 3 hour wait it will take for them to install it
