He's earned it. Traylor's lights out on the recruiting trail and a great coach to boot. That's a rare combo. He's going places.

I don't think that's a new raise. Rather it's the same raise that was announced several months ago to keep him there rather than losing him to Mizzou. He interviewed to be a coordinator there and was almost ready to take it, from what I heard.

I predict he won't be at Texas beyond the 2017 season. He is way too ambitious to remain a position coach. I'm sure he misses being the head guy.

Of course, if Charlie Strong can't get to eight wins, he'll be gone by the end of this year and so will Traylor. But both will land on their feet somewhere else.

I think Texas WILL win eight, though, and possibly more.
