Looks like the Argyle/Pleasant Grove series in Region II will be the last to determine a winner.....on Saturday. Everybody else will have already played. Who knows how this series will go this year......both teams seem to be very evenly matched. Argyle is 27-5 and PG is 26-4 for the season. The programs have matched up 5 times in the postseason with a trip to Austin on the line 4 times. Argyle has advanced the last 2 seasons.

LCM used 3 pitchers last night and while I don't know their pitching depth, I doubt they have enough to gut out two more games, so you're probably right.

Regardless of whether it's Argyle or Pleasant Grove advancing, the Region II winner will be a very good team. Looks like all 4 teams this year are equal to the task and all have been battle tested thru the season. Wylie and Robinson appear to be very strong.....just looking at the records. But don't discount Salado.....they lost a lot of games early in tournaments to teams in larger classifications around Central Texas. They dropped a few to some 4A squads as well, but rebounded for a strong finish to get to the State Tournament. All 4 teams will be highly capable of winning the trophy this year.

Good luck to them in state tourney.
