Went to Bluebonnet Festival today in Chappell Hill outside of Brenham off 290 and didn't see any bluebonnets. Guess we went a couple of weeks too late. Big crowd and long lines at the festival

..shoulda come to the Burnet Bluebonnet Festival instead...we got plenty of bluebonnets.....although not as many as before......

They are cyclical. Too much rain.

No problem. There are Buckeyes in bloom all over the Gilmer area.

.....I tried growin' one of them....lasted for a couple of years but always dropped it's leaves prematurely...thought it was dead at first then grew more leaves in the spring....it finally died......:bigcry:
